ARTHUR MURRAY CONSULTANTS - Snow Urbin

"We dance for laughter, we dance for tears, we dance for madness, we dance for fears, we dance for hopes, we dance for screams, we are the dancers, we create the dreams."

Snow Urbin

Traveling Consultant, Active Professional Competitor

I started dancing at the age of three in Siberia, Russia. After competing my entire childhood in my own country, I  was invited by the United States to represent them at the World Championship when I was 15 years old, which I did for four consecutive years. I obtained my US passport and never moved back to Russia. After becoming a four-time Latin US champion, retired when I was 20, preferring to focus on teaching and sharing with others my love for dancing.

I've had the chance to participate on many TV shows, such as Dancing with the Stars (US - Panama), So You Think You Can Dance , Burn the Floor, Floor Play, and Broadway shows. I have also worked with celebrities like Wyclef, Shakira, and Madonna, just to name few. I am an active traveling consultant for Arthur Murray Dance Centers, traveling all around USA and now living in Canada for the next 3 years, available for coaching, choreography and shows with my partner Dymtro Gurkov. After a decade-plus break, I've also decided to compete again (just for fun) and continue to fulfill my dancing dream life.

What do you love to do when you're not working as a traveling consultant?

Spending time with my family

How did you first get introduced to dancing?

Top 3 books everyone should read

The 4 Agreements (Don Miguel Ruiz)

Anything else you want to share?

Never listen to the others when they are negative.
Never think it's impossible.
Always be grateful for the present.
