I always loved to dance growing up but didn't do much structured dancing. In college I learned salsa and was hooked. I joined a salsa dance group on campus and was dancing almost every night of the week. I also took some classes in Lindy Hop and Argentine Tango, and learned some Country Two Step out at the nightclubs. I found Arthur Murray in 2001 and was hooked. I started as a specialist in Lake Forest. Since that time I've also been a teacher, dance director, supervisor, and manager; working in Costa Mesa, Oceanside, and Orange. I have been in the All Star finals as a specialist, supervisor, and counselor and placed 2nd, 3rd, and 2nd respectively. I love to do choreography especially theatrical routines and at least one of my routines has won an award in the Unique DOR Matinee show every year since I started. I'm especially passionate about the nightclub dances and in my spare time try to continue to stay in the know about what is going on by going out social dancing. I had the amazing opportunity to help develop a Zouk syllabus for Arthur Murray and it was one of my favorite experiences in this business so far.

What is your favorite part of being a consultant?

My favorite part of being a consultant is sharing dance knowledge with people as passionate about what we do as I am. I'm a huge dance nerd and I love being able to pass along all the amazing things I've learned from my mentors and teachers over the years.

What sets Arthur Murray apart from every other dance studio?

No matter where you go Arthur Murray is like family. Each individual studio has it's own vibe, but I truly enjoy all the people I meet when I'm in Arthur Murray Land :) Not every dance place you go is as welcoming and supportive no matter who you are and how good you are. I love the environment this company creates.
