The New Direction At Arthur Murray Walnut Creek

WALNUT CREEK, CALIFORNIA - A changing of the guard. The dawn of a new era. The next chapter.  Pick your favorite quote on finding the positives with making changes, and that's the vibe of the team at Arthur Murray Walnut Creek.  Even with a member of the management moving on, the team has adjusted, embraced a new manager, and is ready to keep growing.

If you haven't heard already, one of the managers, Madisen O'Laughlin, is moving up in the world.  You can read all the details here about where she's going and the great things she is doing.

Arthur Murray Walnut Creek:  New Student Counselor

This move left an opening, and an opportunity, for someone to step into a mangement role.  As of January of 2016, Amar Singh is now the New Student Counselor in Walnut Creek.

"While it's normal to miss such a great part of our team, this is a great opportunity for Madisen, and Amar..." says Karen Prado, Supervisor and new co-manager to Amar.

As a highly recognized teacher, and member of the Arthur Murray leadership development team, Amar was an easy choice. As difficult as it may seem to step in for someone like Madisen, she had the full support from the staff on the decision.

"Hearing that the whole team was behind me, inspired me and made it much easier to accept this position. I am thankful for my team, the management, Arthur Murray as a company, but also - the whole Walnut Creek student body.  I truly would like to thank them for shaping me into the teacher that I have become, and the leader that I am becoming."

Moving Forward

Any move of this nature could not be possible if there wasn't a solid management team, staff, and support of the student body.  One of the key components in this expansion is our senior manager, Karen Prado.  She's been a part of plenty of growth in the area since starting with Hayward in 2003.

"It has been wonderful to see Amar's growth in our school and I know that she is the perfect choice to fill the role of New Student Counselor.  I can't wait for the two of us to be the most dynamite team in the company."

Final Thought

Growth in nature is a sign of a healthy environment.  All the factors - sunlight, water, soil - need to be there for a plant to grow.  The same can be said for any business.  Arthur Murray Walnut Creek is growing because it is healthy.  Ballroom dancing brings people together for a variety of reasons from a variety of places, but its common purpose is to help everyone grow in some way.
