BAY AREA, CALIFORNIA - For the first time in their company history, three Arthur Murray locations from the Arthur Murray Live Group are competing in the highest ranked category for the Tournament of Champions (Arthur Murray Festival) - known as the 1A Division.

All worldwide locations are ranked based on overall business and activity year to date.  Arthur Murray Redwood City, Arthur Murray Walnut Creek, and Arthur Murray Hayward meet the 1A Divison requirements by ranking within the top 8 year to date.

This is no small feat considering that the company has nearly 300 locations across 6 continents.

The Arthur Murray Festival

The Arthur Murray festival is a ratings competition based on studio activity.  Arthur Murray Schools around the world are ranked for six weeks against a collection of schools of similar size. Originally started as a way to boost activity during slow periods of business, the Arthur Murray festival has become a twice-yearly tradition.

Bittersweet Epiphany

"We are so proud to have these three schools make it into the 1A category" says Daisey Lynam, co-owner of the Arthur Murray Live Group, "the only downside is that they are all competing against each other, but it's all for fun and our students love it."

That's not such a bitter pill to swallow for these elite Arthur Murray Bay Area dance studios.
