Written by Chris Lynam | Oct 3, 2016 11:43:05 PM

After countless hours of training and testing, the blueprint is finally set for the Arthur Murray All Star Finals team.

The 2016 Arthur Murray All Star Finalists

Top Teacher

Genevieve Paz - AM San Jose

This is the first time Genevieve is advancing to the All Star Finals. After an incredibly competitive Quarterfinal and Semifinal rounds, Paz will represent Area 6 as the All Star Teacher.

Top New Student Counselor

Joey Sena - AM Livermore

He is the only member of the team to have been to the Finals before, and this will be his fourth visit.  Joey Sena is the Captain of the Area 6 All Star team and has plenty of experience for them all to benefit from.

Top Supervisor

Evan Boyer - AM Hayward

Evan Boyer not only is advancing to his first ever All Star Final, but he's doing so in a position that is new for him as well;  as a Supervisor.  This long time New Student Counselor made the move to Supervisor in 2016, and now he's heading to the Finals as one.

Top Administrator

Charlotte Keezer - AM Walnut Creek

Charlotte has come a long way as the Office Manager in one of the busiest schools in the company, and this year she advances to the All Star Finals for the very first time.

Top Rookie:

Timothy Peters - AM Port Coquitlam

Timothy advances to the All Star World Finals in his first ever All Star test as a New Student Specialist.  He was the top performing Rookie (any professional under one year) in the Semifinal round in Portland.

Top New Student Specialist

Jay Bluhm - AM Bellvue

Jay Bluhm is a non-stop comedy show.  He also happens to be incredibly skilled as a New Student Specialist.  This one time teacher from Minnesota made the move to Seattle a few years back, and now he's moving on to the All Star Finals for the first time.

Previewing the Arthur Murray All Star Final Round

The All Star Finals will be held at the Arthur Murray Superama in Las Vegas on October 29th. There, they will compete against other groups of Finalists from different areas of the globe.

The Testing

In the preliminary rounds of the testing, each professional is evaluated individually in a variety of situations.  What makes this test different is the entire team will be tested as a team.  To do this, conference rooms are transformed into simulated dance studios for this collection of professionals to work in.  There, they will do their best to play their individual roles, as well as work cohesively together - despite the fact that they all, typically, don't work together on a regular basis.

Behind the Scenes

In addition to the incredible efforts by Area Director, Russ Clark, the team will be coached by two members of the Arthur Murray International Training Team:  Chris Lynam and Juan de Dios Garcia.

Look forward to more details and insight on the Finalists from the Pacific Northwest as they look forward to the last chapter in this All Star journey.
