DWTS 24 Celebrity Profile: Bonner Bolton

For the record, it will be the year 2017 when Bonner Bolton can no longer go out to dinner without being noticed, and swarmed, by adoring fans.

Here's why this Professional Bull Rider, turned model, is a perfect addition to the Dancing with the Stars 24 cast.

DWTS Pro:  Sharna Burgess

Most Known For:  Professional Bull riding

Age: 29

3 Reasons Why Bonner Bolton is Perfect for DWTS

1.  He's Hollywood Ready

Every season of DWTS has at least one celebrity that is not as well known as the others.  Unless you're a big fan of the Pro Bull Riding circuit, then Bonner enters the competition unknown, but with a look that screams for future screen time.

2.  He's Made a Miraculous Comeback

It was just a little over a year ago that Bonner Bolton broke his neck after landing on his head during a PBR competition.  His injury, and comeback, are very reminiscent of Season 23 runner up, James Hinchcliffe.

3.  This is Far Less Dangerous

Bull Riding is considered to be one of the most dangerous sports in the world.  After all, considering that bull riders are riding a wild animal that's close to two thousand pounds, with a sour attitude, and determined to forcibly remove you from their body - a Foxtrot with a beautiful woman could very well be the exact opposite of that experience.

5 Things You May Not Know About Bonner Bolton

1.  He's Been in a Movie

While he wasn't the star, Bolton served as one of the bull riding stunt doubles for Scott Eastwood in the movie "The Longest Ride".

2.  He's a Model

We're not talking about someone who takes a lot of selfies on Instagram and calls themselves a model.  Bolton is represented by world class modeling agency, IMG.

3.  He's Won a World Title

Two years after becoming a professional, Bonner won a world title at the ripe old age of 20.

4. It's in His Family

Bolton's father was a rodeo cowboy for 20 years, and Bolton showed an interest right away in the sport.  So his Father introduced him to the sport when he turned 10, and coached him through it after school.  [Fatherly]

5. He's Lucky to Be Alive, Let Alone Walk

According to his doctors, 95 percent of people with his same neck injury never walk again. (GQ)

Final Thought

Bonner Bolton has already had a life changing moment through his recovery.  So learning how to dance is just icing on the cake, and to be paired with Sharna Burgess, teacher to fellow injured and semi-unknown celebrity, James Hinchcliffe, it's safe to say that he's in very capable hands.
