Dancing with the Stars 24: Our Finals Prediction

Written by Chris Lynam | May 23, 2017 1:03:41 AM

What a season!

It's hard to believe it's wrapping up after so many wonderful, shocking, and heart warming moments.

While there may have been some early favorites eliminated, we are down to three finalists.  Here is our take on how it all plays out.

Dancing with the Stars 24: Our Finals Prediction

Third Place:  David Ross

No question, this is a fantastic result for this duo.  While there were some high fliers, heartthrobs, and iconic stars garnering more publicity, David & Lindsey were steadily developing a fun, and effective, dance resume.

The Reason

David and Lindsey certainly have audience appeal and an active fan base.  While they have shown great development over the course of the season, they may not hold up to the talent of the other finalists, Normani Kordei and Rashad Jennings.

Runner Up:  Rashad Jennings

He's been the clear favorite in the male category.  If there was a separate award for top male, they probably could have given it to him after his Most Memorable Year Performance, but Jennings will be the runner up after an impressive run (no pun intended) on DWTS Season 24.

The Reason

This is a close one.  While Normani and Val may seem like the runaway winners, especially over the last three weeks of the season, it's not as clear cut as one might think.

People remember James Hinchcliffe, and Rashad is in a very similar situation.

Talented guy, going up against a talented girl.  There is a chance that he pulls off the upset, but just like Hinchcliffe, he's shown that even if he doesn't walk away with the trophy - he's proven a point to every "too-cool-for-dancing" macho dude out there that you can be manly, and talented, on the dance floor.

The Winner:  Normani Kordei

Her story is remarkable.  To be discovered on a reality show to kick start the music chapter of her life, and now to have DWTS Season 24 kick start the next.  Maybe this turns into a new solo career, or launches her into Hollywood as an actress.

Wherever she goes from here, she's definitely been the leading lady throughout Season 24 of Dancing with the Stars.

The Reason

She's been absolutely fierce on the dance floor, and Val has displayed a great ability for motivating and refining his celebrity partners.  In a nutshell, he figures them out quickly, develops a strategy to enhance their strengths, and he understands what it takes to win it all.

Normani couldn't have found a better teacher, and Val may have never had a celebrity partner that is as versatile a performer as Kordei.
