Arthur Murray Consultants at the District Showcase 2017

Ever get scared by something that really wasn't scary at all?  Usually, it's when the lights are off, and once you flip the lightswitch, you have that slightly embarassing revelation that there was nothing to be afraid of.

That's exactly what Dance Judges are like.

We call them Arthur Murray Consultants, because that term befits the activity.  Judging suggests a placement, something negative, or some grouchy guy in a powdered wig and a dark robe.

So let's flip the switch, and shed some light on the Consultants at our 2017 District Showcase.

Jessica Holty

It wasn't that long ago that Jessica Holty was performing in the role of featured couple at the Showcase.  Since she retired from competitive dancing, she's traveled the world as a consultant for Arthur Murray.  As insightful and warm as she is talented, Jessica is a welcomed addition to the judging panel.

Ron Christy

Easily one of the favorite dance consultants for all of the Northern California and Nevada dance studios, not to mention the rest of the country.  Ron Christy is a teacher to the core, and calling his dance knowledge "extensive" is a gross understatement. While he may be hard at work throughout the event, Ron truly shines in his post-event critiques.

As a member of the dance board, the author of the AM Salsa syllabus, a competitive dancer, trainer, and mentor to many professionals - Bobby could be the chancellor of the District Showcase.
